The Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled to Morocco as their final trip before the arrival of their royal baby. According to People, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landed in the country on Saturday for a three-day tour on behalf of the U.K. government, per the request of Queen Elizabeth.

“They will be shown first-hand the transformational impact of community-based programs and Morocco’s changing attitudes towards women,” Thomas Reilly, the British Ambassador to Morocco, told reporters.

The tour, which ended on Monday, focused on issues such as girls’ education, inclusivity, women’s empowerment and social entrepreneurship. The couple, who is expecting the arrival of their child in late April, traveled with an entourage of nine people.

A source informed the publication “medical provisions” were made for Markle as they stayed at the royal residence of King Mohammed VI.

Royal commentator Omid Scobie tweeted a photo featuring the red Valentino dress the former actress wore in honor of Morocco's flag.

"Meghan wearing @MaisonValentino this evening in the colour red, which has considerable historic significance in Morocco (and represents hardiness, bravery, strength and valour on the national flag," Scobie captioned the tweet.

CNN reported the couple's first trip to the North African country included a trip to an all-girls boarding school in the Atlas Mountains, a cooking school for underprivileged children and Education For All boarding houses in the town of Asni.

Despite security concerns following a series of riots last week in the city of Rabat, the pair continued their trip with a meeting with King Mohammed VI for the first time on Monday. Their visit was set to strengthen ties between the two countries and promote trade relations.
