Young siblings Theo and Uria are casually having an interesting debate one afternoon, as they wait for their mother to finish getting ready for their lunch date with grandma. The topic of discussion for the boys? Am I Black.

Now initially, it may not have seemed as if the two brothers were discussing their actual ethnicity, but rather their appearance. Theo believed they were brown, while Uria believes they are Black. A simple discussion amongst brothers would quickly become a lesson in history.

After overhearing the conversation, the boys' mom told her husband Glen Henry about the situation. Dad took this as an opportunity to educate. When the sons posed their question to their dad, his response startled them!

Glen shared with his sons that their skin may be brown, but they are Black. He said, "the color of your skin is brown, but we, our race, we are black people.” Glen Henry demonstrates for them how, even if they are different shades, they can all still be Black people. "Just because our skin is different, doesn’t mean we are different people; we just have different color skin.”
