Video footage from February caught two Missouri daycare workers abusing and injuring children.

NBC News reports Wilma Brown and Ariana Silver were charged with abuse after several videos captured them harming children at the Brighter Day Care and Preschool in Pine Lawn, Missouri.

In one of the videos, Brown, 27, can be seen throwing a 3-year-old girl across the room into a piece of furniture on Feb. 1. Parents of the victim said the girl sustained a gash on her head due to the violent assault.

According to ABC News, Silver was caught on surveillance footage grabbing a 4-year-old's arm and puncturing her skin with her nails on Feb. 4. The 22-year-old was arrested last Thursday and held on a $55,000 bond.

The family's attorney, Jennifer Hansen, told NBC News the victim received seven stitches in her head following Brown's assault.

"This sweet little girl is getting lots of love and support from her family while she heals from her injuries," Hansen said. "Her family hopes that the release of the surveillance footage will result in justice for this child and ensure that other children are not harmed by the very people entrusted to keep them safe."

Brown initially told the girl's family she fell, but they did not trust the explanation given to them. About five days after the incident, the 3-year-old's parents demanded to see surveillance footage, which ultimately proved Brown fabricated the details around the gash.

Brown and Silver were both fired from the daycare and charged Thursday with felony child abuse, police said.

While Silver has been arrested, there is a warrant issued for Brown's arrest.

"Brighter Day Care and Preschool, Inc. has provided exemplary, high quality educational and day care services to thousands of children and their families for more than a decade," attorney Timothy J. Smith said in a statement. "The daycare has a long-standing reputation in the St. Louis community for outstanding care and will continue to provide exceptional daycare and educational services in a safe and caring environment."
