Unforgettable NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson celebrates his daughter's record-breaking track debut by donating to a Baltimore-area girls track team.

Johnson's daughter Cha-iel shocked the track world by setting a national record in the 800-meter at Disney in Orlando Wednesday, July 12. Her time of 2:14.80 in the AAU Track and Field National Club Championships is now the gold standard.

"I felt great," Cha-iel said in an interview with Florida Runners. "I had to get out in the first 200. I had to do it for my mom and my family and for my coach and fight hard."

But that is just the icing on the cake. Johnson surprised the Turbo Track Club based in Baltimore with a $2200 donation on Tuesday to help send a group of their young runners to the National Jr. Olympics in Kansas City.

The substantial donation pushed the GoFundMe campaign passed its $5000 goal. And the organization showed its gratitude to the former player in a statement thanking all backers for their donations.

"Thanks to everyone who has supported Turbo Track Club! The donations, The kind words, everything…It means so much! We plan to make everyone proud. Team Turbo, the coaches, track moms & dads really appreciate you all! Thank you," the statement read posted Wednesday on the page.

The wide receiver who was formerly known as Ocho Cinco is out here making dreams come true.
