Designer Moncler made a grand, exhilarating move in opting to feature the hip-hop ballerinas as the opening act of the 2018 collection showcase, during Paris Fashion Week this year. Hiplet, a style of ballet that incorporates hip-hop dance flare with classical ballet moves- marrying soul to poise in this fun-filled, new dance craze.

Stemming from a popular 90s style of dance known as The Rap Ballet, Hiplet has been transformed by renowned Chicago dancer and instructor Homer Bryant. The dancers are all classically trained but have taken that training to another level with this urban influence dance gone viral. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled to see more of the hiplet craze.
