Miami Swim Week ain't ready for all of this beautiful melanin! A casting call for the July event left some black models high and dry, Racked reports.

Shortly after arriving at the call, about 16 black models say they were turned away and told the "casting was closed."

On Friday, July 13, Joia Talbott, one of the models, posted her experience on Facebook:

“They told us they didn’t want any more black models, and that afros were a no-no,” said Talbott. “They was definitely not feeling my afro at all, so I didn’t stand a chance, right? Wow. We’re ready to go back to LA where we’re appreciated, and we book.”

Another model sitting next to Talbott, Ka-Cey, ended the video powerfully with, “Somebody tell Miami that there’s no such thing as too much brown skin!"

Talbott also took to Instagram to show the casting directors and everybody else just what Miami Swim Week was missing. The stunning photo featured Talbott and 10 other black models who claimed the casting agency turned them away:

WERRRK! Looking straight out of a Fenty Beauty ad, the picture displays an array of rich and beautiful skin tones.

The casting agency has not been named, and Miami Swim Week officials have not responded to the allegations.
