We’ve been playing the “Where’s Frank Ocean’s new album?” game for a while now. We’ve heard the rumors about Frank’s new project (if one even exists) from a range of artists that call him a friend. But friends don’t let friends leave their fans without a dope beat to step to. Mr. Ocean needs to re-evaluate his circle.

In his absence, things have become very strange in the singular rapper/singer genre that most urban music has become. Artists are making life-sized Madame Tussaud’s figures of friends, enemies, and in betweens, then filming them in the bed buck naked. Even more crazy, Gucci Mane may in fact be a bizarro version of the real man, cloned to take over the world through amazing Snapchat stories!

There’s even a guy running around who genuinely believes he’s a character from Dragon Ball Z with a power level over 9000.

This may indirectly be Frank’s fault, because we know he’s a Majin Buu fan (see what I did there?). These are strange times, but this one takes the cake. A photo surfaced on the TL of Frank, as they occasionally do. But this time, the way he was dressed led some to believe that he’d abandoned the music business for good.

The real story is less exciting, but actually true.

Frank Ocean did not run away with his music money and go to medical school. The picture is from 2011, where Frank cosplayed as a medical professional in the video for “Thinking About You”. It’s been 5 years since then, so we can’t really blame people for forgetting. But we all know that there’s always those few people that can’t resist.

When everyone thinks Frank Ocean is in Med school but the pic is from one of his music videos. But they real fans tho lmfao.
