A white Florida sheriff's deputy is under fire after trying to be funny on TikTok.

According to the Miami Herald, Michael Dilks and his wife, Heidi, made several controversial videos, including one in which they were lip-syncing the lyrics of the rap song “White Boy” by Tom MacDonald.

“I would never hate a man for what God gave him in pigments,” the couple said as they mouthed the words. “I would never judge a human for the cards he was given or call him lesser than myself ‘coz of the race he was mixed with.”

According to the Daily Mail, the Vero Beach couple were also lip-syncing the words of City Girls' "Act Up," and can be seen mouthing the lyrics "real ass b***h give a f**k about a n***a."

In another video, Dilks pretends to take his wife to jail in his service SUV while she sits in the back and sings the lyrics from James Brown's "I Feel Good."

The sheriff's deputy follows up by saying “hey, why are you so happy back there while I’m taking you to jail?”

“I’m so happy, boy,” Heidi replied. “Where you’re taking me, I’ve got 24 hours away from my wife.”

Daily Mail also reported on a clip in which Heidi mimics an angry Black woman on a company voicemail.

"'This is for Rachel you big fat white nasty smelling fat b***h," the wife said. "Why you took me off the motherf**king schedule with your trifling dirty white racist ass?"

In an interview with Daily Mail, Dilks said he has been successful on TikTok because he has "a real connection with the viewers."

"I even reunited through TikTok someone who was a sex crime victim as a child who wanted to get in contact with the detective who saved her," he said. "I think I'm showing law enforcement in a light that is really positive."

NAACP President Anthony J. Brown spoke out against the videos, calling them racist.

"This is straight out racist," Brown said. "It's conduct unbecoming a police officer, it's inappropriate, unprofessional, disrespectful, demeaning and just plain stupid. It pounces on every stereotype and portrays an entire group of people negatively."

Dilks said he made some of the videos while he was on duty. The sheriff's deputy, who has more than 60,000 followers on TikTok, has one video that has been seen by more than 1 million viewers.

“We are aware of the situation and currently conducting an internal inquiry,” the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office told the Miami Herald.
