Kiera Lanae Bergman, a 19-year-old Arizona woman, disappeared after sending an odd text to her roommate, leaving her family and friends very worried about her whereabouts and safety, KPHO-TV reports.

"She was saying that she was going to go out with some guy she met at the store a couple days ago, which is something that's not like her, that's not something she would do," said Bergman's roommate, Destiny Hall-Chand.

Bergman left home without her purse, keys, wallet or any spare clothes on August 4. Hall-Chand found this incredibly odd and filed a missing person's report when Bergman failed to return home.

Phoenix police have issued a missing-person poster pleading for any information about Bergman that read in part, "Her family is very concerned for her welfare," according to Fox News.

Bergman's family says the 19-year-old — who is from San Diego — has been in negative spirits since moving to the Phoenix area in March to be with her boyfriend. The couple broke up not long after the move, the Arizona Republic reports.

The family has launched a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising money to aid the search with any proceeds above the necessary funds going to the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, both important charities to Bergman.

"I'm crazy. I'm going crazy," said Bergman's mother, Kiersten Bragg. "I'm a nervous wreck. I'm exhausted just thinking of all these scenarios in my head."

Hall-Chand said she's in a similar state.

"I don't know. I don't know what to think; I don't know what to believe; I don't know. It's just, I know there's something wrong. I'm just hoping she'll come home and everything will be okay," said Hall-Chand.

Bragg added it is all she can do not to dwell on imagining the worst. "My biggest fear is that they're gonna find her, and she's not gonna be here anymore," Bergman's mother said. "That's my biggest fear."
