In the wake of the release of the damning HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, Louis Vuitton has decided to pull a collection inspired by the late Michael Jackson.

The Guardian reports the luxury fashion house showed off pieces of the collection at a winter/autumn menswear show in January before learning about the controversial film.

Several of these pieces include pleated shendyt inspired by a similar costume in the "Remember the Time" music video and flag-print garments reminiscent of those from "We Are the World." There were other pieces inspired by some of his other iconic videos like "Beat It" and his starring role in The Wiz.

Louis Vuitton menswear designer Virgil Abloh told WWD he did not know about the documentary when it first premiered at Sundance.

“I am aware that in light of this documentary, the show has caused emotional reactions. I strictly condemn any form of child abuse, violence or infringement against any human rights,” Abloh said in a recent statement.

In Leaving Neverland, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, two former proteges of the King of Pop, alleged they had inappropriate relationships with Jackson when they were children. Now, both men who are in their 30s have come forward to share their stories about how they met and how they would eventually bond with the famed entertainment.

Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke decided to pull the collection due to the company's dedication to child welfare.

“We find the allegations in the documentary deeply troubling,” Burke said. “Child safety and welfare is of utmost importance to Louis Vuitton. We are fully committed to advocating this cause.”

Over the past week, other brands such as English tailor Gieves & Hawkes are distancing themselves from Jackson. Fashion site WWD reports the brand removed a replica of the military-style coat that Jackson wore during his Bad tour in 1988.

As questions remain over the legacy of the King of Pop, celebs like Drake are reportedly not performing a song that sampled Jackson's music. Also, three Canadian radio stations have decided not to play any songs from Jackson's catalog.
