Monroe Bergdorf was the first trans woman to be part of a L'Oreal campaign.

Then she spoke out against privilege, racism and white supremacy on social media.

"Because most of ya'll don't even realize or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of color, your entire existence is drenched in racism. From micro-aggressions to terrorism, you guys built the blueprint for this sh*t," part of Bergdorf's message read.

L'Oreal wanted Bergdorf for its campaign celebrating diversity. It did not want Bergdorf to speak about race and class, and the model was fired.

Despite being terminated by L'Oreal, model and activist Munroe Bergdorf is doing just fine.

In fact, she has just announced that she will be fronting a new cosmetics campaign for Illamasqua.

Llamasqua is a British makeup brand that takes pride in diversity and creativity. It has worked with Bergdorf in past campaigns.

“In order for our generation to move forward and create a more inclusive society, it’s not just about showing diversity. We must all be free to talk about social issues in a constructive and tolerant way," the company wrote in a Twitter post explaining their choice to stand with Bergdorf.

The brand also said that it believes "Munroe's comments have been edited out of context by a certain media title (who we won't bother naming) without telling a true story."
