Today, Cannon has 12 kids from half as many partners, some of whom include household names such as Mariah Carey. Given that the acclaimed television host has a tendency to swap partners like a square dancer, it makes sense that many fans across the globe are curious about his current relationship status. It may actually come as a surprise to learn that Nick Cannon has been in an on-again off-again open relationship with reality TV star Bre Tiesi for nearly 15 years. The pair even share a two-year-old child together, whom they lovingly co-parent. Since the general public may not be fully tuned in to Bre Tiesi’s work, let’s take a moment to look at her relationship history with Cannon, as well as her personal life and accomplishments.

Tiesi Is A Model-Turned Real Estate Mogul

Long before Bre Tiesi was in the news for mothering Nick Cannon’s eighth child, she became a social media sensation through her success in modeling. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Tiesi actually launched her modeling career through sheer chance, as she happened to be dating someone in the industry when she was a teenager. At the time, she was just finishing high school, and actually had plans to pursue a career as a surgical technician.

While messing around with her boyfriend, she came to learn that she had a natural gift for being in front of the camera, and eventually pivoted to a full-on career as the spokeswoman for Rockstar Energy. She also had several high-profile gigs modeling for major fashion companies, and even wound up on the MTV game show Wild ‘n Out, where she met Nick Cannon for the first time.

Despite her success on the runway, Bre Tiesi was determined to take on a role with a little more upward mobility, and eventually joined Keller Williams Beverly Hills as a licensed real estate agent. Though her real estate work began as something of a side hustle, she eventually became fully committed to the practice, and eventually left modeling behind in favor of making high-figure home sales. Her natural likability and flair for interior design helped to launch her real estate career to the next level, and has seen her taking on bigger and bigger projects with each passing year.

While home selling has clearly become her main passion, Bre Tiesi recently managed to combine elements of both her career paths into one, by appearing on numerous TV shows such as Love & Listings and Selling Sunset.

She Has Seen Nick Cannon On And Off For Over A Decade

Though Bre Tiesi welcomed her first and so-far only child in 2022, her relationship with Nick Cannon dates back much earlier. In fact, she explained to E News that she had been seeing the television host casually on and off for over a decade, without ever making their relationship fully exclusive. Cannon famously has several other children which were born to other women in an incredibly close timeframe to his son he shares with Tiesi, though the reality star has never expressed any issue with having a modern, blended family. Per her previously mentioned interview with E News, Tiesi explained “some people have their idea of conventional relationships and certain things. We have a beautiful relationship [where] everything is so supportive and positive.”

Even today, Bre Tiesi and Nick Cannon are not in an exclusive relationship, though Tiesi has stated that the possibility of having a second child with Cannon is still firmly on the table. Back in January of 2023, the real estate mogul made a series of comments which suggested that she was not interested in having more children following her fully natural home birth. Her tune changed in a discussion with Entertainment Tonight later that year.

During the interview, Bre Tiesi said of having another child with Cannon “He’s open to whatever, always, but I just — I feel like if I can’t do it a hundred percent, I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to take more attention away from my son than I already do, working like I do, so I’m really trying to figure out how to manage that, and I think adding in another aspect of another human would be very hard.”

She Was Briefly Married To A Former NFL Quarterback

Though her relationship with Nick Cannon has been on and off since at least 2012, we know of at least one prolonged period where it was decidedly off. This encompasses Bre Tiesi’s relationship with former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, whom she began dating in late 2016. Tiesi and Manziel married in a private ceremony in 2018 before ultimately calling it quits just a year later, as rumors swirled about the Memphis Express player sleeping with other women. This was ultimately confirmed in a season 8 episode of Selling Sunset which saw the pair reunited as Tiesi helped her ex find his dream home in Los Angeles. During the heartfelt episode, the pair discussed the ups and downs of their short-lived marriage, and Manziel admitted to cheating, before expressing remorse for ending things the way that he did.

Clearly, the conventional route of settling down and getting married has never been a priority for the business-minded mogul, as she later confirmed to her Instagram followers that she has no plans to marry again. In fact, according to PageSix Bre Tiesi specifically wrote “I only dreamed of traveling the world and being the top of my career creating an empire creating generational wealth and living life to the fullest with my kid.”

Bre Tiesi Creates Her Own Nontraditional Lifestyle

As her relationship with Nick Cannon shows, Bre Tiesi’s laissez-faire attitude toward traditional marriage extends beyond her romantic relationships. Apparently Tiesi doesn’t demand Cannon pay a set amount in child support each month, and instead reaches out to him directly to split certain bills and costs associated with raising their son. While describing their co-parenting schedule to Entertainment Tonight, Tiesi explained that Cannon “makes his own schedule. He can show up every day, when he stops from work. He can come at night. So, he’s here every week… it’s not a set schedule, we don’t have to plan things, but he’s very present, and he’s at anything and everything I ask him to be at.”

Obviously as a working woman, mother, and occasional partner to Nick Cannon, Bre Tiesi has found a way to make her lifestyle work for her. While some people, such as Tiesi’s Selling Sunset co-star Chelsea Lazkani, may find it difficult to understand or identify with, it seems clear that the model, real estate agent, and reality star is living her best life.
