Former First Lady Michelle Obama brought out the heavy hitters in a celebrity dodgeball competition with The Late Late Show host James Corden.

The relationship between Obama and Corden was on full display during Monday's edition of CBS' The Late Late Show. In a battle royale between the United States and the United Kingdom, some of the biggest names in Hollywood squared off in a friendly game of dodgeball.

Team USA was expertly assembled by Obama. Actresses Mila Kunis, Melissa McCarthy, Lena Waithe, Allison Janney and Kate Hudson rounded out the all-female squad. For Team U.K., Corden brought out musicians Harry Styles and Reggie Watts along with actors Benedict Cumberbatch and John Bradley of Game of Thrones.

“When they go low, we also go low,” said Obama, referencing her famous quote from the 2016 Democratic National Convention. “Because that’s how dodgeball works, amirite?”

Mega-producer Waithe tried to be humble, but she was sure her team would kick butt.

“It’s hard to say who’s going to win this one,” the 35-year-old said as Team USA opened a can of whoop-ass. "Who am I kidding? Of course, we’re gonna win. It’s Obama. Michelle Obama. We’re winners.”

In the end, Team USA brought the heat and crushed Team U.K. Obama has dedicated her life to wellness and the health of the American people since her time in the White House.

In 2010, under then-President Barack Obama's leadership, the White House launched the "Let's Move!" campaign in conjunction with the Task Force on Childhood Obesity. Mrs. Obama has also pushed for healthy school lunches and national nutrition.

The dodgeball war was just one of many instances where funnyman Corden and Obama have teamed up. She also appeared on the "Carpool Karaoke" segment of the late-night talk show.
