After brushing off the dangerous actions of white supremacists and remaining coy about whether he identifies as one during his first two years in office, President Donald Trump finally chose to term himself a nationalist in October.

PBS NewsHour White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor asked Trump directly about the concern his declaring himself a nationalist aligned him with white supremacists at a press conference Wednesday. As Blavity reported, the president said her question was "racist."

On Wednesday, the day President Trump denounced Alcindor's question, white supremacist Patrick Casey visited the White House. In a series of pictures posted to Twitter with the caption, "Evropa has landed at the White House!," the proud supremacist posed in front of the landmark.

According to Slate, Identity Evropa promotes white supremacy under the banner of "European identity" and has been working hard at amplifying its message using mainstream sources. Casey is the leader of this group.

As The Daily Beast reports, Evropa's members marched in the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"We don't believe America needs to be 100 percent white, but we do think that America isn't going to be America if there isn't a European America supermajority," Casey told Brittany Pettibone in an interview, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. "We want to end immigration for the time being. And in the future, we would like to have immigration policies that favor high-skilled immigrants from, you know, Europe, Canada, Australia and so forth. And we also do want to have programs of remigration wherein people who feel more of a connection to another part of the world, another race, another culture, even another religion in the case of Islam can return to their native homelands essentially."

According to White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters, this wasn't a special or private visit, however.

Walters told The Daily Beast that Casey “was one of more than twenty-five thousand people who came to the White House Fall Garden Tour, which is open to the public. Free tickets are made available to anyone who wants to attend.”

The Fall Garden Tour was on October 20-21, though, so the recent posting raises questions. The Hill notes President Trump recently took pictures with and perhaps met with fringe conspiracy theorist Lionel Lebron. Lebron is the man behind the QAnon conspiracy.

After tweeting the pictures, Casey repeated the press secretary's claims about the timing of his visit on Twitter.
