A group of white nationalists who were seen carrying flags was caught on camera Saturday filming a propaganda video at the Emmett Till Memorial in Sumner, Mississippi.

“We are all here at the Emmett Till monument that represents the civil rights movement for Blacks,” a man in the video can be heard saying. “What we want to know is where are all the white people?”

Sirens, a recently added security feature at the memorial site, went off as the group ran to their cars.

The executive director of the Emmett Till Memorial Commission, Patrick Weems, told CNN the alarm goes off for all of the visitors so they are aware the site is being monitored.

The security camera footage was uploaded to Sumner Courthouse and Emmett Till Interpretive Center’s Facebook page.

The flags seen in the video are associated with the group League of the South, according to Dave Tell, a historical consultant for the center.

The Southern Poverty Law Center designated League of the South as a hate group. The center says the members of the group believe a "godly" nation would be run by an “Anglo-Celtic” elite that would “establish a Christian theocratic state and politically dominate Black people and other minorities.”

Since the incident, the memorial has been monitored by the Tallahatchie County Sheriff's Office.

The new Emmett Till memorial was put up on October 19. The new memorial is bulletproof and built of steel after previous ones were vandalized and shot at.

“OK, you want to shoot it down? We’re going to put it right back up,” Till’s cousin Airickca Gordon-Taylor told The New York Times.

The plaque was made for free by Lite Brite Neon, a Brooklyn sign manufacturer.

Lite Brite Neon said the sign was designed to withstand a rifle round without damage. It was “built out of half-inch AR500 steel and covered with a three-fourth inch acrylic panel.”

The original sign was installed in 2008.
