Two of the most high-profile figures in the MAGA movement, President Donald Trump and U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, have been publicly feuding. With the political breakup between the two splitting the MAGA base, U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett — who has clashed with both GOP figures — has chimed in, offering advice for Greene and calling on her and other conservatives to put more pressure on Trump.

Crockett to Greene on Trump: ‘I told you not to trust him’

In recent weeks, Trump has engaged in a war of words with Greene. The public break with Trump has drawn the attention of one of Greene’s former targets: Rep. Jasmine Crockett. “This almost feels like a moment where Marge should phone a friend… I’m here for you girl…,” Crockett tweeted in response to reports of the feud between Greene and Trump. “I told you not to trust him… all he cares about is HIMself (and protecting pedos) he never loved you.” Crockett compared the Greene-Trump feud to a breakup. “My granny always said ‘be with the man that loves you more than you love him.’ Trust me, sis, you are better off without him,” she wrote. “The GWORLS are fighting!”

Crockett, of cours,e has her own history of fighting with Greene. Most notably, the two congresswomen have a viral exchange in 2024 during a committee hearing in which Greene insulted Crockett, telling her, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.” Crockett epically clapped back at the attack on her appearance, asking what would happen if someone on the committee commented on another member’s “bleach blonde, bad-built butch body.” The alliterative insult quickly spread across social media. Crockett has continued to criticize Greene and her controversial comments, calling the Georgia congresswoman a “lowlife” and “the dumbest person in the House.”

Crockett calls out conservatives for only now focusing on Trump-driven hatred

In recent weeks, however, Greene’s criticisms have turned away from Democrats and toward Trump. The Georgia Republican’s break with the president largely stems from debate over the release of the Epstein files; Greene is one of four Republicans in the House of Representatives siding with Democrats to give them just enough support to force a vote on releasing the files. Greene’s criticism of Trump over blocking the Epstein information has grown into a larger critique of Trump’s policies as “not America first positions,” and Trump has responded with a number of nasty comments against Greene, calling her a “traitor” and withdrawing his previous endorsement of her. Greene also called out Trump while apologizing for her own engagement in “toxic politics.”

Crockett, a frequent target of such political toxicity from the GOP, later responded to a post in which Greene claims that Trump’s comments against Greene are leading to threats against the Georgia congresswoman. “Ok, now that MTG has said it, do y’all now believe me when I say that TRUMP fuels hate against those that oppose him?!!” Crockett tweeted. The Texas congresswoman has been a fierce critic of Trump and a regular target of insulting and racist comments and social media posts by Trump and his supporters. Calling out Fox News, Crockett said, “Will faux news finally start to address that this man has created a permission structure of hate and violence or will you only talk about it when it’s one of your beloveds?!”

There has been debate about the motives behind Greene’s break with Trump, with many thinking it represents a political rebranding rather than a genuine change of heart. Regardless of the motivation, though, Greene seems set to continue to speak out against the president she once supported. It remains to be seen whether or not she will also attempt to make peace with Crockett, as they now share a common foe in Trump.
