Rep. Steve King (R-IA) invited one-half of the sunken place duo Diamond & Silk to the State of the Union.

King announced his plans on Twitter, reports The Hill.

“Having only one ticket, I invited one of two guests for the State of the Union tonight, #sotu Lynnette Hardaway & Rochelle Richardson, otherwise [known] as Diamond & Silk. Diamond won the coin toss,” King wrote on Twitter.

Both Diamond and Silk will be guest speakers for a Conservative Opportunity Society event Wednesday.

King is cozying up to the conservative vloggers a month after he pissed a lot of people off for publicly asking why white supremacy is bad.

“White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?” he asked The New York Times on January 10, as Blavity reported.

The comment resulted in King being removed from all of his Congressional committee assignments. He has refused to resign, according to Business Insider.

Following King's comments, the House also drafted a resolution rejecting “white nationalism and white supremacy as hateful expressions of intolerance that are contradictory to the values that define the people of the United States." Surprisingly, he voted in favor of the resolution.

"I regret that we are in this place," King said about the resolution. "I agree with every word that you have put in this. … I want to ask my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, let's vote for this resolution. I'm putting up a yes on the board here."
