The coronavirus shutdown of Hollywood has now moved into May as films slated for release nearly two months from now are starting to feel the impact.

Antebellum, which stars Janelle Monae, was set to be released on April 24, 2020, but now has been removed from the calendar for now. The film is from activists Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz. QC Entertainment, the production company behind Get Out and Us, are producers on the project. In the film, successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late. The film also stars Kiersey Clemons, Gabourey Sidibe, Marque Richardson, Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Tongayi Chirisa, Robert Aramayo and Lily Cowles.

Also pulled from now is Spiral: From the Book of Saw. It was set for May 15, 2020. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Rock, Marisol Nichols and Max Minghella. Here’s the official description: Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Rock) and his rookie partner (Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zekefinds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
