30 people were killed and 39 injured in a triple suicide bombing in northeast Nigeria.

On Sunday night, people were gathered to watch a soccer match at a cinema hall in Kondunga, Nigeria. One of the bombers detonated explosives that killed at least two dozen people, as reported by CNN.

"They positioned themselves in different spots in the same area. Most of the people who died were from the viewing center. At least 24 people died when he blew himself up and 21 people were injured," Head Of Rescue Team of State Emergency Operations Bello Dambatta, said to CNN.

Another two bombs were detonated a few meters away, killing six people and injuring 17 more.

Konduga is about 22 miles outside of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

According to The New York Times, the attack has been attributed to Boko Haram militants, a jihadist group led by Abubakbar Shekau. The group has killed 27,000 and countless have gone missing in Nigeria and surrounding areas, as reported previously by Blavity.

The most recent attack took place at a local fish market in February 2018 according to Independent. At least 20 people were killed in that attack.
