“You’re in their DMs. We’re in them. We are not the same.” The shocking tweet is a play on the viral “You are in their direct messages …” internet meme. The original meme was meant to differentiate yourself when romantically approaching someone. But Tampax thinks it’s deeper than that.

The tweet has possibly been sitting on the shelf for some time. However, with the current state of Twitter, it seems someone at the tampon company took a chance.
