MTV announced that Total Request Live (TRL) is coming back, and sooner than you may think.

Instead of original host Carson Daly returning, it will feature a rotating set of hosts. Two have already been announced, one of them being the popular social media star, and most recently actor, DC Young Fly.

MTV president Chris McCarthy confirmed and officially announced the news in an interview with The New York Times.

“It’s the right route When you talk to artists and they say to you, unaware of what we’re doing, can you bring back ‘TRL’? We’d be crazy not to reinvent that. MTV’s reinvention is coming by harnessing its heritage.” he said.

The show first launched in 1997 and canceled in 2008.
