The United States Tennis Association (USTA) wants to invite tennis fans to New York City for a weeklong, insider experience. The US Open Fan Week is an annual free event that offers tennis enthusiasts a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience. This year, the celebration runs from August 19-25 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

US Open Fan Week attendees will have the opportunity to see their favorite tennis players compete in the US Open Qualifying Tournament and will also have the opportunity to attend the US Open Draw Ceremony. Tennis lovers will get to see featured practices of the world’s top players and watch some of the game’s former greatest play in Legends Matches presented by Mercedes-Benz. Also, for the first time in Fan Week history, fans will have a shot at behind-the-scenes access in Arthur Ashe Stadium Experience to see some of the game’s top talents practice.

The weeklong event isn’t only about tennis, though. Fans on hand will get to have tons of fun enjoying fashion, food, and entertainment from popular artists as well.

Most of the fun and activities will take place at the new Fan Week Center Stage, located in the South Plaza where attendees can enjoy entertainment and guest appearances. Visitors will have the chance to see player interviews, receive autographs, and win tickets and official US Open merchandise. Also, US Open merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the grounds.

Tennis fans can also register for the US Open Fan Access Pass to win exclusive tickets and prizes during the week. They also will have exclusive access to reserved seating to view practices, matches and special events in Arthur Ashe Stadium. The US Open Experience will also give fans the chance to enjoy the “Taste of the Open,” and indulge in various food options at restaurants and concession stands.

The celebration doesn’t stop once the sun sets. It continues well into the evening throughout the week where the Heineken Happy Hour will offer drink specials and feature top DJs, including DJ Niks and DJs Coco and Breezy on Wednesday and Thursday. The Chase Sound Check on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights will also offer an amazing lineup of top artists performing live.

The kids will be able to get in on the fun too at US Open Fan Week, with jugglers, stilt walkers and face painters on hand to entertain the younger crowd all week long.

Kids will also be able to participate in the Net Generation Kids’ Zone presented by Emirates where they can play fun sports activities such as the golf putting challenge, hockey and more. Kids will also get to participate in Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, a free festival with interactive tennis activities followed by a fun stadium show with top tennis stars and musical performances (tickets required), all to honor tennis legend, Arthur Ashe.

Other special events include Queens Day, which celebrates the New York borough and honors the location being New York’s Grand Slam’s home. Open Pride will also offer a panel discussion called "Love All—An Open Conversation" that will feature notable leaders from the LGBTQ+ and sports communities. Visitors can also watch top stars talk to the press about the tournament at Media Day.

If you’re not a tennis lover now, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll be one after being a part of US Open Fan Week. The spectacular sports and entertainment experience is like no other.
