The artist formerly known as Kanye West (he recently declared he is now, simply, Ye) continues to show his love for President Donald Trump during the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live.

While most of the attention should have been placed on Ye's “Ghost Town” performance with Kid Cudi and 070 Shake, what took fans and critics by surprise was his latest political rant.

Video captured by comedian Chris Rock on his Instagram stories showed Ye speaking to the audience when the cameras were turned off. According to the New York Post, Ye began speaking about the plight of black Americans while praising Trump.

“I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you’re feeling inside right now,” he sang. “The blacks want always Democrats you know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan.”

Audience members began to boo him as he continued his rant, decrying critics' reaction to his new political stance, Billboard reports.

“There’s so many times I talk to like a white person about this and they say, ‘How could you like Trump? He’s racist.’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.”
