This young couple’s story is a beautiful tale of love and necessary rebellion.
On Saturday, a teen named Myren tweeted pictures of him and his boyfriend, Ralph, at prom –it went viral. “My dad said I knew better than to ask him.” Myren told BuzzFeed News. “I knew I wouldn’t get a yes from them, but I thought maybe they would have a change of heart. They never did.”
Myren’s parents found out he was bisexual after seeing text messages threads between the two. After disapproval from his parents, Myren said that he and his date began to save money for prom tickets and suits to wear.
Despite his parents’ wishes, the couple went anyway and Twitter rallied behind them.
The praises were overwhelming!

The cherry on top? It was the couple’s 7-month anniversary!
Love always finds a way.
“They wanted me to end things with him and they tried grounding me to keep us from talking, but no matter what we found a way to talk,” Myren said.
