This past Monday, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee took to the House floor to address the commentary of the 45th U.S. President, Donald Trump, regarding the kneeling protest of Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players, coaches, and owners.

While addressing the House, Rep.Lee affirmed, "We will continue to stand in the gap and racism is going to be under our foot. And you know where else it's going to be? It's going to be under our knee…" condemning President Trump for his poignant SOB remark and addressing the fact that through the 14th amendment, there is no regulation against kneeling during the National Anthem, as she simultaneously took a knee and concluding her speech before her time expired.
