President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union speech on Tuesday and his speech was wildly unimpressive.
He took credit (again) for the low black unemployment rate that President Barack Obama helped usher in, used people of color as props for his exaggerated claims on immigration and crime and left folks everywhere dismayed and unamused with his remarks, especially the Congressional Black Caucus. Here are some of the unforgettable reactions to the speech:
Him: “This day, like all days, ends in y.”

An honor to meet #RecyTaylor's niece today and use the #SOTUBLACKOUT to remind the world of her aunt's story and the far too many marginalized women who have spoken up and have long been ignored. #TimesUP #SOTU pic.twitter.com/w9GNIYzIBu— Carolyn B. Maloney (@RepMaloney) January 30, 2018
Did I miss a policy statement in that long passage on North Korea or was that just the use of tragedies and human interest stories for applause? #SOTU— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) January 31, 2018

Boos when Trump mentions ending the ability of immigrants to bring family members to the U.S. (something immigrants have been able to do for generations.) #SOTU— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) January 31, 2018
