Vice President-elect Kamala Harris made history when she and running mate Joe Biden were projected as the winner of the Nov. 3 presidential election.

Since the win was confirmed last weekend, people have been lauding her work and hailing her historic achievement in being the first woman, first Black woman and first South Asian woman to become vice president.  But the internet had a ton of fun when it was reminded, yet again, that Harris once dated well-known TV host Montel Williams.

As always, the internet had plenty of jokes to spare despite the photos of her and Williams surfacing last year and earlier this year. Here are some of the ones that had us laughing yet again.

Some joked that they wish the couple had worked out so that the actor, motivational speaker and host of the famed Montel Williams Show could have made it to the White House.

Others joked that Harris probably wanted to forget the 90s drip both her and Williams had in the photo going viral.

But some noted that they didn't remember that the two were ever connected.

But mostly, the internet just wanted an excuse to make jokes.

Hilariously, some began confusing Montel Williams with singer Montel Jordan.

Others noted that Williams had already addressed it, and Williams himself took to Twitter to try to use his trending status for good.

Williams, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999, even joked about his style back then while trying to highlight the causes that are closest to him.

While my personal style may have changed a lot since I got my start on daytime, my passion for advocacy has not. I was born with a voice, and you bet I'm going to use it! #Advocate #MS #Throwback pic.twitter.com/Aoan3U5ciY

The photo of Williams and Harris seems to resurface every few months, so this almost certainly will not be the last time this photo goes viral.

Harris is now happily married to Doug Emhoff, who will become the first man to serve as Second Gentleman of the United States and will be the first Jewish spouse of a president or vice president.
