Don Lemon channeled the energy of many Americans during his show on Monday night, criticizing President Donald Trump and his supporters for their violent, overwrought reactions to his loss in the 2020 presidential election.

Lemon was responding to a very strange Fox News segment on Monday, where anchor Bill Hemmer asked White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley whether Trump felt "emasculated" by Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites banning him for inciting his supporters just hours ahead of their violent attack Congress.

"I wouldn't say emasculated. [He's] the most masculine person to ever hold the White House as the president of the United States," Gidley said, continuing the longstanding trend of officials needing to shower Trump publicly with ridiculous, strange praise.

Lemon noted that this desperate need for public praise was the exact opposite of "masculine" and highlighted how the general Republican response to the 2020 elections showed that they, in fact, had been the snowflakes all along. 

"Shut up. Shut up! He is the biggest snowflake of them all. The biggest one," Lemon said, before mocking commonly used phrases in conservative media.

Over the last four years, as Democrats and their supporters protested over specific policy disagreements, conservative talking heads would often complain that they only wanted "facts not feelings."

"Why are you coddling his feelings all the time? Why are you coddling all of these people's feelings? 'We need to understand how they feel and give them time to accept the election.' Really? Who is the snowflake now?" Lemon asked.

He then went on to reference a story about one of the domestic terrorists who participated in the attack on Congress last Wednesday. 

Jake Angeli gained international notoriety for the Viking costume he wore during the attack. But now that he has been arrested and charged for his actions, his mother told ABC13 in Arizona that he was struggling in lockup because they will not feed him all organic food. 

"He gets very sick if he doesn't eat organic food. He needs to eat," his mother said outside of the courthouse, according to AZCentral. 

The court decided the facility would work in tandem with his diet. 

Elsewhere, Lemon continued to lay into Trump, Angeli and other Trump supporters who continue to complain and violently fight the reality that they lost the 2020 presidential election. 

"Snowflakes. Cowards. The president's legacy will be not the most masculine president, but the biggest loser we have ever had as president," Lemon said. "Maybe that should have been the name of his show instead of The Apprentice. The biggest loser."

There have been dozens of embarrassing instances over the last four years where Trump officials, in order to either get what they want or secure closer ties to the president, felt the need to make laughably cartoonish, outlandish statements all in an effort to make Trump feel like he is beloved or adored. 

Trump routinely held Cabinet sessions in front of cameras where he made each member go around in a circle and say things they like about him or his tenure as president.


He did this dozens of times throughout his tenure, sometimes forcing his cabinet to do it and other times just bringing in random conservative talking heads to spend hours doing it. 

In his first comments since last Wednesday, Trump continued to whine about the election results. He said efforts to impeach him over his decision to send his heavily-armed supporters into Capitol Hill were a "witch hunt."

As Trump has always done, he spoke out of both sides of his mouth. In one mention he calls for no violence but he then followed it up by justifying the violent anger his supporters feel the need to express through terrorist attacks and armed revolt. 

"For Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to continue on this path, I think it's causing tremendous danger to our county and it's causing tremendous anger. I want no violence," he told reporters as he prepared to fly to Texas for a rally.
