Ghanian artist CJ Biggerman did what every up and coming rapper dreams of — he got the attention of one of the greats.

Rick Ross had just touched down in Ghana to perform at Detty Rave when Biggerman caught up with him at the Kempinski Hotel, reports Hot New HipHop. As the Maybach Music Group artist arrived with his entourage, Biggerman began to freestyle to Ross and Jay-Z's “F**kwithmeyouknowigotit.” Rozay stopped and listened to Biggerman’s bars, even pulling out his phone and recording him.

After the “Moni” rapper was done rhyming, Ross invited him to come up on stage and perform with him at the festival in the upcoming days.

In a video that was posted on Instagram, the budding rapper is visibly excited after the encounter, shouting “What?” repeatedly with a smile plastered on his face.

He thanked the “Diced Pineapples” rapper for following him on Instagram, to which Ross commented, “Don’t stop king!”

The rap mogul even went on Instagram to tease his performance and encouraged his followers to show Biggerman some love.

The “Hustlin'” rapper showed he’s a man of his word and brought Biggerman up on stage at the festival on Friday, December 27.

After his thrilling experience, Biggerman told Joy News he took a chance because while he is confident in his talent, he needs other people to see the work he’s put in.

“I always believe in my talent. People tend to see me as very confident,” Biggerman said. “I always know I have something but I don’t get enough reception for it, so I just needed to do something out of the box to get everyone talking.”

Biggerman wasn’t expecting an invitation to perform and said all he really wanted was for the “Purple Lamborghini” rapper to post a video of him. He called the whole experience “surreal.”

“For me, it was a do or die affair because I knew…It was a win-win situation for me. I had nothing to lose because I’m an upcoming artist,” Biggerman said. “If I go and he didn’t respond to me I’d still go back, still plan on how to release songs… Why not risk it. Just risk it. You never know, so I just took my shot.”

The Ghanian rapper posted a video to Instagram showing his appreciation to Ross as well as his followers.

“I want to thank the boss himself. I want to thank Rick Ross for giving me such an opportunity,” he said. “I just want to appreciate each and every one of you. I want to say thank you for giving me the best Christmas gift.”
