A little boy in Georgia has shown the world that a simple act of kindness can go a long way.

Riley Duncan sent WSB-TV a video of a young boy helping an elderly woman up outside stairs in Milledgeville, Georgia. Duncan did not know the boy, but when he saw the child hop out of a car to help, he thought it was a moment worth sharing. The video went viral, and the good Samaritan was identified as 8-year-old Maurice Adams Jr.

According to his mother, Contricia Hill, Maurice was in the car with her and his sister when he spotted the elderly woman using a walker to climb a set of stairs.

"He asked, 'Can I go out there and help her up the steps?'" Hill said. In the video, Maurice is shown holding the woman’s arm and gently guiding her to the top of the stairs.

Hill says she did not know anyone was filming but feels this act is proof she must be doing something right.
"It's touching. It's very touching," she said. "(It just shows) respect and raising your kids right goes a long way." The identity of the woman in the video is unknown, but Hill said she had a message for Maurice when they were done walking.

"She told him that he's special," Hill said.

You got that right.
