Tiffany Haddish may be a comedian but she was not joking when she said she had a bag full of fried chicken during this year's 2019 Met Gala.
The Insider reports the Girl's Trip breakout star showed up to the event donned in a Michael Kors' "pimperella" black and silver two-piece pantsuit, sporting platinum blonde and dirty brown hair, topped with a black opulent fedora.
Haddish, who hilariously admitted she initially thought the camp theme called for "a wife beater and walking shorts," also confessed that she learned her lesson at her first Met Gala experience.
"Last year I came and it was not enough food and I was hungry," the 39-year-old told People. "And when I'm hungry, my attitude [is] not good."
"I said I'm [going to] be prepared this year," she continued, tapping her matching purse. "So, I brought chicken."
"I don't know if you know this, but I got my own seasoning salt," the California native said, explaining why she home-cooked her drumsticks instead of purchasing them at KFC. Haddish launched her own salt with the famed Lawry's seasoning company late 2018.

Haddish showed out on the red carpet alongside other top Met Gala contenders including Cardi B, Ciara, Janelle Monae, Lena Waithe, Billy Porter, Laverne Cox and others, as Blavity reported.
The actress who get her first major television role on OWN, later told Vogue that she was "expecting a few good drinks, wonderful art collections" and "really great conversations with some friends." But she was concerned about being prepared for if the food didn't compliment her palate.
Of course, some people were critical of Haddish's snack online, viewing it as a promotion of a Black stereotype. But just about anything goes with camp, especially if it includes making fun of the bourgeoisie, which seems to have been the point of it all, particularly from a comedian.
Before entering the upper-echelon-themed party, her chicken came handy to a few hungry reporters who confirmed the "so good" chicken was a hit on the red carpet — and really, how can you be mad at some old-fashioned food on the go?
