Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren once again found herself at the forefront of controversy after the Fox Nation host criticized the newly released Gillette ad featuring a father teaching his transgender son how to shave.
As Blavity previously reported, the commercial chronicles transgender Toronto resident Samson Bonkeabantu Brown getting instructions from his father on how to shave for the first time. After confessing his doubts on not feeling man enough, Brown concludes his monologue by saying he is genuinely happy with the trials he has overcome throughout his transition.
The ad elicited reactions of pride for those who can relate and messages of support from LGBTQ allies. Lahren, however, found a way to chastise not the message, but instead the promotion of "high-school-aged kids undergoing hormone therapy and gender reassignment."
The new @Gillette ad features a transgender boy shaving for the first time.
It’s a little much to normalize and promote high-school-aged kids undergoing hormone therapy and gender reassignment. Don’t ya think?

"The new @Gillette ad features a transgender boy shaving for the first time. It's a little much to normalize and promote high-school-aged kids undergoing hormone therapy and gender reassignment. Don't ya think?" she tweeted on Tuesday.
Before she could even muster up a mayonnaise-loaded response, Twitter clapped back at Lahren for failing to recognize the message the shaving company was trying to send.
Here's what I think: As a high school teacher for 31 years, I have taught many trans kids. Not one of them woke up one morning thinking "Ooh! I think I'll be trans in high school. Good times! So much bullying!" They are brave as hell and maybe this ad helps.

Another user wrote that how transgender individuals live their lives are "none of your damn business."
One day you might not wake up wondering how to intentionally damage already bullied people you've never met, who are simply trying to live their lives—lives that are none of your damn business.
When that day comes, you'll know you're a bit closer to being a decent human being.

Actress Yvette Nicole Brown even chimed in, calling the Donald Trump super fan the "worst."
I think you’re the worst. Oh wait, that wasn’t the question, was it?

Lauren's mentions were flooded with users commenting similar sentiments.
That’s a conversation between them and their parents. They exist, and thankfully Gillette is reaching out to them.

“A little much” coming from you with regard to literally anything is almost as funny as you implying that you actually “think” about anything at all other than your seemingly unquenchable thirst for attention and to surpass the shocking depths of moral depravity you’ve achieved.

One user then posed quite the question for consideration.
Is there anything on the planet that doesn’t offend you?

Others essentially wondered where her heart is.
I’d rather have that than someone normalizing disdain for others who are different from themselves.

It's a Dad supporting his son and it's sweet. Go Dad!

Lahren has yet to respond to the criticism. We're guessing she's already found something else to be offended about.
