Tracee Ellis Ross graced the 2018 American Music Awards (AMA) as the night's returning host, all while using her style to do it for the culture. Each look rocked by the Black-ish star was made by a black designer.

As promised, all the details were laid out for us. She started the night in a Pyer Moss power suit designed by Kerby Jean-Raymond.

That was followed by a Dapper Dan-designed Gucci cape.

Next, she hit the stage in a gold sequined number by CD Greene.

Ross took a nod to the importance of voting in a When We All Vote T-shirt paired with a red skirt by Shanel Campbell.

Next up, a tulle Off White gown by Virgil Abloh.

Then, leopard print for the girls deigned by Sergio Hudson.

Keeping the fun prints going, she followed up in a flare dress by LavieByCk.

Next was a black suit dress by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain.

Then came a gorgeous blue look featuring earrings, brooch and suit by DÈSHON.

She closed the night in Cushnie.

That's how you make a fashion statement.
