All it takes is three simple words to get you dragged these days on Twitter. All Lives Matter.

Exhibit A.

Former San Francisco 49er Jerry Rice took to Twitter Monday night to send out a message aimed at causing world peace, but clearly did more harm than good. The retired wide receiver and NFL Hall of Fame honoree criticized 49ers Colin Kaepernick for his decision to protest the national anthem over his concerns about America’s treatment of black men.

Let’s take a trip back to 1989 when Rice inadvertently called the media racially biased in an interview with KRON-TV all because his MVP recognition didn’t receive as much coverage as a white player would.

“If it were Joe Montana, Dwight Clark, it would have been headlines all over,” Rice said.

Just a receipt I came across.

Twitter immediately threw a flag on this shucking and jiving.

Twitter clearly had to pull double duty. Before Rice joined the ALM crusade, former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber had a few words about Kaepernick as well on CBS This Morning.

He also had this to say a few days ago.

Clearly his opinions were unwelcomed on Twitter.

The jig is up, fellas.
