One of our faves, Quinta Brunson, has not one, but two new series on the way!
According to a report from The Wrap, BuzzFeed Motion Pictures’ has sold two original series created by the comedian, who is also a BFMP producer, to YouTube Red and Verizon’s go90. Bruson, 26, serves the star and writer for both series.
Debuting on YouTube Red on September 28th, Brunson’s Broke is an 11-episode scripted comedy about friends (Maurice Williams and Paul Dupree) who’ve recently entered post-grad life and are broke.
The second series, Adopted, is a single-camera comedy that takes place in a pet adoption clinic, where four women volunteer each weekend. Production for Adopted begins this fall and it will air exclusively Verizon’s go90.
Susanne Daniels, global head of original content at YouTube says, “BuzzFeed has its finger on the pulse of social sharing, trending, and keeping audiences entertained. Quinta Brunson and The Try Guys already reach millions of fans with their popular videos.”
