This video is going viral for a heartwarming moment between a mother and son reuniting for the first time in ten years.
Shannon Slattery said that her partner, Jeffrey, hadn’t seen his mother who lives in Gabon, due to factors like costs and obtaining a visa.
Jeffrey’s brother Axel, who he hadn’t seen in about four years, arranged a visa for their mother to come visit. The day before she arrived, Axel called Shannon to plan the surprise.
The video shows Jeffrey’s excitement to see Axel, and then when he peeks around the corner to see his mother, he runs to her and doubles over to the floor in emotion.
“Jeffrey and his mom had gotten by with keeping in touch via video chat and frequent phone conversations but 10 years is a long time without seeing each other.Jeffrey is 6’7″and works as a Carpenter. This video is the epitome of what an upstanding man he is. He’s kind, loving, God fearing, patient, hardworking,and a loving father and family man,” wrote Shannon in the YouTube caption for the video.
This surprise was also planned so his mother could meet Jeffrey and Shannon’s first-born child. The video has been viewed almost 6 million times on Facebook already.
