We already know Black women are superheroes. A Black mother, who is no exception to this, recently went viral for a loving encounter with her son.

A video of Destiny Bennett calming down her crying son who she says struggles with panic attacks displayed the power of parental love.

“Of all my children Cash has the biggest and often struggles to express and control them. When he gets hurt (physically/emotionally) it’s usually very difficult to calm him which results in full panic attacks which causes his asthma to flare up,” read the Instagram caption.

To help her son, Bennett says she uses several techniques including breathing exercises to help him navigate through his emotional challenges.

“For the last few months, we’ve been using a technique in which I blow in his face and ask him to blow in mind. It’s worked wonders to help distract from his pain and focus on controlling breathing,” Bennett explained.

Bennett's patience with her son throughout his difficulty is what real parenting is all about. Her breathing exercises are extremely helpful and can be a great technique to help parents loving care for children who suffer from anxiety.

This isn’t the first time that Bennett went viral. She made waves when her “Stop Letting YouTube Raise Your Kids” video went viral. Bennet was even featured on Good Morning America as she explained how she cut down screen time for her kids.

"I realized we could be offering them so much more and if we don't do it no one else will," she said.

Bennett made some serious changes after realizing that her kids were spending too much time on their devices. She cut their screen time to 5 pm – 7 pm each day, and since implementing this new schedule, she discovered that her kids found creative ways to entertain themselves and have been happier as well.

"I had major mom guilt," Bennett said. "Now, I'm in a more intentional relationship with my kids."

On another occasion, Bennett’s other son Caidyn Bennett made headlines for refusing to allow people to touch his hair. His video, "No Susan, Those Are Dreads," has garnered millions of views because Black people fully understand how it is to have people invading their space and their person in an attempt to touch their hair.

One thing we can be certain of is that the Bennett family is living their Black love out loud and we’re here for it.
