The adorable 107-year-old who visited the Obamas at the White House earlier this year is at it again! Virginia McLaurin attended her first MLB game Thursday night to see the Arizona Cardinals compete against her Washington Nationals.
Nationals manager Dusty Baker presented Ms. McLaurin a custom jersey with her name and “107” on the back. She was honored as a part of Black Heritage Day at Nationals Park, to “celebrate the contributions of African-Americans to the game of baseball and the community.”
This was McLaurin’s first time at the stadium saying, “I’ve never been down here before. I’m excited; everyone around here has been so nice.”
The Nationals hosted the night along with the Greater Washington National Urban League.
“When I see it on TV, I’ll watch it. But you know, I never learned one game from the other. I just cheer for both teams. Go! Go!” McLaurin told the Washington Post.
