The 41st installment of the New Directors/New Films Film Festival here in New York City is well underway, with closing screenings happening this weekend, so get in what you can with the 2 days left!
One of the films that screened there was Terence Nance's ode to the complexities of love and relationships, An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty, which I saw at Sundance at reviewed enthusiastically (read my review HERE if you missed it).
We've written about Nance and his film quite a bit in recent months that it completely slipped my mind that S&A hasn't interviewed the filmmaker yet! A travesty! 🙂
But it'll happen sooner than later… however, in the meantime, watch/listen to the 30-minute Q&A session Mr Nance held after one of the ND/NF screenings of his film which happened in the last week; you'll get an even better feel for what the film is about (if my review didn't do enough for you), and you'll become acquainted with the filmmaker himself, Terence Nance – learn about his motivations and inspirations for making it, etc.
