I'm already pumped to see this film and every new video of footage I watch makes me even more excited.

Despite all the talk about how epic and obfuscating the novel that the film is based on is, as well as the film itself, Cloud Atlas, to break it down simply, explores how our actions impact the lives of others, from the past, to the present and the future; how a single act can have effects that ripple across centuries into the distant future.

From the Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer comes Cloud Atlas, which opens October 26.

Based on an adaptation of David Mitchell’s novel of the same name, the film stars Tom HanksHalle BerrySusan SarandonKeith David, David GyasiJim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona BaeBen WishawJames D’Arcy and Zhou Xun.

Its synopsis reads:

"Cloud Atlas" explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

I just read a piece on The Hollywood Reporter website that suggest there's Oscar buzz around Halle Berry.

A new 6 1/2-minute behind the scenes look at the film has surfaced, which includes most of its stars, including Halle and Keith David, talking about their various roles in the film, and the film's scope.
