The six-part, six-hour series “takes viewers on an unprecedented journey through African-American history—from slavery to freedom, and from the plantation to the White House.”

The final episodes will tackle the Jim Crow era of 1897-1940, Civil Rights struggles of 1940-1968, and the reach towards a “More Perfect Union” from 1968-2013, and are set to air Tuesday November 12th, 19th and 26th at 8pm ET/PT on PBS.
