Here’s a second look at emerging filmmaker Chinonye Chukwu‘s short film, The Dance Lesson, for those who missed it. Chinonye is currently finishing up her first feature film Alaskaland (read about it HERE) which, based on her feedback, should be ready any day now. We’re covering her filmmaking journey so expect to read an interview I had with her soon.

Until then, watch this short starring Chioma Dunkley, Yvette Ganier and Imani Rae Johnson. The story is about a young, black girl struggling to be a ballerina.
