Just a few days ago, the United Nations held its International Day of Remembrance of the
Victims of Slavery and among the events
was a screening of 12 Years a Slave, with director Steve McQueen present for a Q and A afterwards.
McQueen took questions from the moderator – MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell – as well as
from the people in attendance, and fortunately there was a video of the Q and A afterward, which you might find interesting, that you can watch below:
