Bowser, mayor of Washington, D.C., posted two photos on Twitter featuring her with Bottoms, the newly-elected mayor of Atlanta:  

Both Bowser and Bottoms are the second female mayors of their cities.

We celebrate all black women throughout the diaspora, and this is a special moment in black female leadership.
