Up-and-coming directors from North African countries (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, etc) with short fiction or short animation films (15-30 minutes long), or documentaries (short or feature-length), in pre-production or, are invited to apply to the first annual Project Market in Cairo, Egypt.

From June 22 to 26, 2014, in cooperation with Cimatheque and the Robert Bosch Stiftung foundation (for international cooperation between Germany and the Arab World) will organize the first Project Market where up to 10 young directors from Egypt, North Africa and Sudan will be selected to participate in the Project Market in Cairo to meet with up to 8 German producers.

The meetings with the German producers do not necessarily have to result in partnerships but can help participants gain experience in the international co-production market and extend their network. In the event that a team is formed, the first step will be preparing a joint application for the following round of the Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung is created.
