We’re less than a week away from the premiere of NBC’s 4-hour miniseries adaptation of Rosemary’s Baby – a remake of Ira Levin‘s 1967 best-selling suspense novel – starring Zoe Saldana

This SundayMay 11, and ThursdayMay 15. for the second half are the broadcast dates – each night from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT.

Saldana plays Rosemary, a young wife who moves into a Paris apartment with her husband – an apartment with a darkly storied past. Soon after becoming pregnant, Rosemary becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child.

The famous novel was first adapted to the screen in Roman Polanski‘s 1968 classic film of the same name, which starred Mia Farrow as the title character.

Acclaimed director Agnieszka Holland (Europa, EuropaTreme) directed the project from a script penned by Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge) and James Wong (American Horror Story).

It’s one of 2 new series coming to TV during the first half of the year starring women of African descent (the other being Halle Berry in the CBS sci-fi drama Extant, debuting in June, which will be a full series).

Ahead of its May 11 premiere, NBC has released an extended behind-the-scenes look at the series, featuring key cast and crew, as well as a few new scenes not seen in the trailer. Watch below:
