LeBron James, who had to evacuate his home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles because of the powerful Getty Fire, found a unique way to thank the firefighters battling the blaze.

KTLA 5 reported James sent taco food trucks as a token of gratitude to members of the Los Angeles Fire Department, first responders and other agencies.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti sent out a tweet thanking James for the gesture and shared photos of the firefighters getting their grub on.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, who recently spoke to James on his HBO show The Shop: Uninterrupted, also thanked James.

“Shout out to @KingJames for generously sending over a taco truck to support our LA firefighters, first responders, and law enforcement folks that have been on the front lines fighting the #GettyFire,” Newsom wrote.

Newsom toured the area affected by the Getty Fire in Brentwood and later spoke at a news conference, KTLA reported.

Mariscos Jalisco, a popular food truck in Los Angeles, posted on Instagram that the Los Angeles Laker hired them to serve the firefighting crews.

James has also been speaking about the Getty Fire on Twitter since Monday, CNN reported.

“Man these LA [fires] aren’t no joke. Had to emergency evacuate my house and I’ve been driving around with my family trying to get rooms. No luck so far!” he wrote on Twitter.

On Tuesday night, before the Lakers' home game, the 34-year-old spoke to sports reporters about fleeing his home.

"It's just challenging at that hour, getting my family, getting my kids, getting everybody and having to evacuate at such a rapid, rapid rate. You don't really have much time to think about what you can get or what you can do. You just got to get out and get to safety,” he said.

Eater LA noted that James may have procured a taco truck due to his obsession with “Taco Tuesday.”

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office denied his request to trademark “Taco Tuesday,” after the 34-year-old filed an application, Blavity reported.

Los Angeles Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas said Tuesday that 24 fire departments responded to the Getty Fire and 1,165 personnel are assigned to the incident, KTLA reported.
