Throughout the book, Akinwale is haunted by vivid dreams that cause her to confuse important aspects of her reality and transcend her wild imagination. The novel is the longest fiction book, according to Shine My Crown.
Akinwale is a student at Little Thetford C of E Primary School and was shared on the Black and Brown Success Instagram page, paying homage to her record-breaking achievement.

At just 10 years old, Hephzibah has broken records as the youngest author to write a novel of over 58,000 words! Her mother, Chika Akinwale, told Ely Standard her daughter’s achievement could serve as an inspiration to fellow young Black girls. She also shared that Hephzibah will join 20 other selected young people to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
“In light of Black History Month (October), I feel her achievement can inspire other children, especially children of color, as she is a young girl of color herself,” Chike said. “Furthermore, in recognition of her talents and contributions, my daughter was recently selected as one of the top 20 young people to help East Cambridgeshire District Council celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, contributing to her positive influence in the local community.”
