If you’ve ever lost something, you know the feeling of frustration and anxiety that follows. Luckily thanks to ten-year old, Nasim Lawrence, Taylor Sloan didn’t have to have those feelings for long. After finding a lost wallet at a motocross event in California, Lawrence along with his parents, mailed the wallet back to its rightful owner, Taylor Sloan. While she was grateful to have her ID and wallet contents back in her possession it was the note Lawrence left for her that encouraged her to share the moment on Facebook.

The note read: “Dear Ms. Sloan, My name is Nasim Lawrence and I am 10 years old. I found your wallet on the ground at the supermotocross event in Oakland. I know how it feels to lose something and I wanted to make sure you got your wallet back. Hopefully, I have made you smile and you are happy to have your money and ID back. I am glad I found it instead of some bad person who would steal from you. You look like a very nice person who does nice things for people so I wanted to do something nice for you, plus it was the honest thing to do. Sincerely, Nasim Lawrence”

The post quickly went viral and Sloan who was extremely touched by the note said that her favorite line was “I’m glad I got it instead of some bad person.” Lawrence later found out about his new-found internet fame from his father and said that the attention has been quite “surprising.” Sloan returned the favor back by sending a letter back to Lawrence along with 2o dollars and a bag of candy for his good deed.  It just goes to show that there is still some good in the world and sometimes the best of it comes from the kids.
