The daughter of rapper 2 Chainz will be attending Howard University this fall. Heaven Epps received an acceptance letter in December 2025 and has toured the university campus several times ahead of her enrollment. The rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, and Heaven’s mother, Kesha Ward Epps, both attended HBCUs.

Rapper 2 Chainz’s daughter is set to enroll at Howard University

Heaven’s mother took to social media to announce her daughter’s achievement. In December 2025, she shared the news in a celebratory post featuring the acceptance letter.

“Screaming to the top of my lungs🥳 IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “@howard1867 thank you for accepting Heaven into Howard University 🎉🎉🎉🎉we are on our way! Bison Pride let’s go 🦬🦬🦬 So grateful and blessed to share my baby’s accomplishment.”

2 Chainz commented under the post at the time to also publicly congratulate his daughter, writing, “Overly proud of my baby girl.”

Kesha has since posted several updates regarding her daughter’s upcoming enrollment at Howard University. In February, she announced that Heaven had officially accepted the offer.

“I’m so proud of you, Heaven. You are truly a sweetheart. You have given me nothing but joy these wonderful 17 years on this earth, and I thank God every day for blessing me with you,” she wrote in the caption of a post which showed Heaven surrounded by congratulatory balloons and Howard merchandise. “I’m also so grateful He surrounded you with such amazing friends who came over and decorated for you. We love you, Heaven.”

Heaven appears to have visited Howard’s campus several times with her family. In July 2025, she toured several HBCUs, including Spelman College and Florida A&M University.

“There will be many more days like this,” her mother captioned another Instagram post shared in February.

Kesha shared several photos and videos of Howard’s campus and her daughter posing in front of “HU” letters on a wall.

Heaven Epps is stepping into her parents’ HBCU legacies

In choosing to attend an HBCU, Heaven is continuing her parents’ legacy. The rapper first played as a Division I basketball player at Alabama State University from 1995 to 1997. He then enrolled at Virginia State University, where he obtained a psychology degree, according to HBCU Gameday. Heaven’s mother also graduated from an HBCU, having earned a degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Alabama State University.

2 Chainz has used his platform as an artist to highlight HBCUs in the past. The music video for his 2023 song “Money Maker” featured the Human Jukebox, Southern University’s marching band. It also included shoutouts to schools such as Florida A&M, Jackson State, Grambling, Texas Southern, Clark Atlanta and Morehouse.

According to HBCU Gameday, the rapper expanded the initiative into the Money Maker Fund, a partnership with YouTube that offered grants to HBCU entrepreneurs.
